The Feasts of the Lord

LEVITICUS CHAPTER 23:1-44.

Verse 44 – "And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the Feasts of the Lord."

These Feasts of the Lord show us His wonderful redemptive plan towards Israel and the Nations. 

SPRING FEASTS: Show soteriological (salvation) events and 1st Coming of Messiah.

PASSOVER – REDEMPTION.
(Death of Messiah – 1 Corinthians 5:7)

UNLEAVENED BREAD – RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(Holy Walk – 1 Corinthians 5:8)

FIRST FRUITS – RESURRECTION.
(Resurrection of Messiah – 1 Corinthians 15:23)

PENTECOST – REVIVAL.
(Outpouring of the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:5; 2:4)                                                                                                                         

The growth of the Messianic Community – The One New Man, Jew and Gentile one in Messiah. Eph 2:14.

AUTUMN FEASTS: Show eschatological (end time) events and 2nd Coming of Messiah.

TRUMPETS – REGATHERING.
(Israel’s regathering – Jeremiah 31:10 and ultimately Matthew 24:31)

ATONEMENT – RETURN.
(Israel’s cleansing by Messiah’s return – Romans 11:26; Zechariah 12:10; 13:1-2)

TABERNACLES – REST.
(Israel’s Golden Age – Millennial rule of Messiah – Revelation 20:4; Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:19-25; Psalm 66:4; 67:4).
