Why we keep The Lord’s Supper.

1. Why do it?

a) Because of its Divine Institution.
Luke 22:19-20.
Through -
The Father’s counsels.
The Son’s command.
The Spirit’s confirmation.

2) What we do?

a) We remember a Unique Person -
1 Cor 11:24-25.
b) We proclaim a wonderful death -
1 Cor 11:26.
c) We celebrate a notable victory -
1 Cor 15:4. Col 2:15.
d) We express a worldwide Fellowship -
1 Cor 10:16,17.
e) We anticipate a Glorious Event -
(Til He comes) 1 Cor 11:26.

3) How should we do it?

a) Mental comprehension – discerning the
Lord’s body. 1 Cor 11:29.
b) Moral conformity – worthily.
1 Cor 11:28.
c) Mutual consideration – one for another.
1 Cor 11:33.

We have a New Life in Messiah.

John 11:25-26.

1. A Resurrection Life -
“I am the resurrection and the life.”

2. A Spiritual Life -
“He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

3. An Eternal Life -
“And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
