• The Bible contains:-

  773,742 words.
  31,173 verses.
  1,189 chapters.
  66 books.

• There are 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 in the New Testament totalling – 1,189.
  
• There are 39 books in the Old Testament. If we multiply the first digit by the other we will have 27 – the number of books in the New Testament.
  
• The shortest verse in the New Testament is John 11:35 – ‘Jesus wept.’
  
• The middle verse of the Bible is Psalm 103:2.
  
• The middle book of the Bible is Micah.
  
• The word ‘reverend’ appears only once in the Bible and it applies to God and God alone!
