SPIRITUAL LIFE APPLICATION PRINCIPLES.

The 4 strengths of a Christian.

  1. Faith (when having doubts)
  2. Salvation (past, present and future)
  3. Scripture (the sword of the Holy Spirit)
  4. Prayer (gives fellowship with God)

Spiritual GROWTH.

G - Get to know God by reading the Bible (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
R - Respond to God in prayer (Philippians 4:6)
O - Obey God moment by moment (Luke 6:46-49)
W - Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit (Col 2:6; Ephesians 3:14-21, 5:18)
T - Tell others about the Lord Jesus Christ through your life and works.
       (Matthew 28:18-30; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Ephesians 4:1)
H - Have fellowship with other Christians (Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42-47)

FAITH.

F - Forsaking
A - all
I - I
T - trust
H - Him.

5 scriptures to use when praying with someone to receive Christ.

  1. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
  2. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  3. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  4. John 1:12 But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
  5. Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” (The Lord Jesus Christ).

Being ‘Born Again’ (John 3:3)

B - Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal saviour and in His death as the total atonement for our sin. (Isaiah 53:1-12; John 3:18)
O - Obeying faithfully the Word of God (Jeremiah 7:23)
R - Receiving the gift of eternal life through repentance (Romans 6:22-23)
N - Not to esteem self, but to esteem others better than self (Philippians 2:3)

A - A living sacrifice for the will of God (Romans 12:1-2)
G - Going forth to witness unto all the world (Acts 1:8)
A - Accepting the Spirit of God (John 3:5)
I - In all things giving thanks to the Lord (Ephesians 5:20)
N - Never losing the Faith (Hebrews 11:6)
